Minami “Ikki” Itsuki, is a student and a delinquent. Also known as the “Unbeatable Babyface,” Ikki is the leader of the youth gang by the name of “East Side Gunz.” Upon his return home after being humiliated by a street gang of Storm Riders called the Skull Saders Ikki discovers a secret hidden from him by his benefactors, the Noyamano sisters.

The sisters belong to a group of Storm Riders who go by the team name of Sleeping Forest. Keen on helping Ikki to regain his confidence and pride, they supply him with a pair of Air Trecks (abbreviated as “AT”).

Ikki eventually settles his grudge with the Skull Saders, but in the process he receives more than the simple satisfaction of revenge. Determined to experience the sensation of “flight” for as long as he can, our headstrong protagonist is quickly sucked into the mysterious, yet irresistible world of Air Treck.

Please Teacher! is a story mainly revolving around a tight-knit group of friends in high school and how they cope with several life-changing events that are never too far off from intimate relationships. The main character is a boy named Kei Kusanagi who suffers from a very rare disease which causes a comatose state referred to as a "standstill" whenever he is under severe emotional distress.
Before the beginning of the story, Kei, at 15 years old, had fallen into a "standstill" lasting three years after witnessing the suicide of his elder sister. After recovering, he quietly moved away from home in order to avoid social difficulty due to his long absence, and began living with his uncle, a medical doctor, and aunt. Due to the strange nature of how he came to live there, Kei wanted to keep the situation a secret from his new friends for fear of being ostracized as being too old to associate with them.

After Kei had established himself in his new surroundings and had entered into a close group of mutually supportive friends, a Galactic Federation starship had entered Earth's atmosphere stealthily (it is equipped with cloaking technology, rendering it invisible to EM spectrum detection equipment), approached Honshu Island and landed surreptitiously in Lake Kizaki.

(Aside from physical travel of the spacecraft via its own engines, travel back and forth across intermediate and long distances - including other star systems and/or dimensions - is accomplished using Star Trek-like 'transporter' technology.) The story begins with Kei, after suffering a minor 'standstill' while in the vicinity of the lake, witnessing several unexplainable phenomena happening there, and then watching as a beautiful half-human alien named Mizuho Kazami materializes beside the shore.

Kazami was sent to observe planet Earth by a seemingly benevolent Galactic Federation in order to prevent Terrans from making developmental mistakes. (Later, it is revealed that she had personal reasons; she wanted to see the home planet of her father, who had died when she was a child.) Kei, upon observing the materialization, attempts to escape the pursuing Kazami, (who he does not get a clear look at, as she appears surrounded by bright white light).

Kazami is under strict orders to prevent her true identity and mission from being discovered (the penalty for which can include capital punishment). During his attempt to escape, Kei falls into the lake, seeming to drown as a result of another stress-induced 'standstill'. In fact, Kazami rescued Kei and, using information from his identification, was able to return him home after examining him for injuries.

The next day begins fairly normally, as Kei awakens at his uncle's home, in his room, under the impression that the previous evening was the product of a dream. Upon arriving at the school, Kei's peers are discussing the fact that the previous homeroom teacher has mysteriously quit his position, and that the beautiful Ms. Kazami has become his new homeroom teacher. Later that day, Kei is further astounded that she is now a next-door neighbor.

During assisting her in moving in, he suffers another standstill, and while in a weakened state explains his predicament to the compassionate Mizuho, who cared for him without alerting the authorities, and thus kept his condition a private secret. During his recovery, he recalls the events of the previous evening, realizing that it was not a dream, and that she was the person he saw by the lakeside. Mizuho's inherently honest nature causes her to admit her origins and purpose on Earth.

A near tragic comedy of errors ensues, as a frightened Kei attempts to escape her embrace. An accidental activation of the 'transporter' technology almost costs Kei and Mizuho their lives as she rescues him once again. A rapprochement is achieved, as it becomes evident that neither Mizuho nor the Galactic Federation she serves is hostile, and Kei promises not to reveal her identity as Mizuho makes a similar promise about Kei's medical condition. This is the beginning of a friendship that rapidly becomes more intimate.

After being discovered in what on the surface would appear to be a compromising situation (Mizuho had wanted to speak with Kei privately and had him transported to a physical education sports equipment locker), Kei protects Mizuho from charges of an inappropriate relationship between student and teacher by supporting the idea impulsively given by his uncle to the school's Headmaster that they are married, resulting in an actual civil marriage that later blossoms into genuine affection for each other.

Kei's true calendar age becomes evident during the Headmaster's phone call to City Hall to verify their married status, and the Headmaster relents, partly because he, too, had married someone younger than himself and could understand their situation personally. Both are allowed to stay so long as they do not reveal their status to the other students, and do not engage in any public displays of affection.

The remainder of the series concerns the budding intimate relationships between the close friends, one of whom (Koishi Herikawa) is romantically interested in Kei and another (Ichigo Morino) who he later learns has suffered even greater loss of time from the same disease as he has; the problems of having to maintain the secrecy of the marriage; an interfering parent and sibling visiting from Federation space; and Kei learning to overcome the ever-present threat of another lengthy 'standstill' stealing more of his life, particularly as he has fallen deeply in love with Mizuho and desperately wants to remain with her..

The protagonist, Van, travels the world searching for a mysterious man with a clawed right hand who killed his bride. He is joined by several other travelers along the way, each linked to the clawed man by a personal loss.
Gradually they find the makings of a plot that will shake the foundations of the world they live on.

GunXSword is set on the 'Planet of Endless Illusion'; a place where rogues of all sorts gather. The world itself has one moon orbiting it, and has a general technical level of modern Earth, with a few exceptions, such as humanoid combat suits called 'Armors'.

The overall culture has a 'wild west' feel to it, with general lawlessness in the more rural areas and large expanses of wilderness.

Berserk

Berserk is the story of a young swordsman named Guts (Gatts, Gattsu, Gats, Gutz... Miura uses Guts so that's what I'll use) and his journey towards something that will change his life and all those around him forever.

The very first episode introduces us to an extremely PISSED and insane Guts, who is on the path for revenge, but as the story progresses we are shown the flashback of Guts's past and what led him to become the Black Swordsman.
The story is filled with the most amazing cast of extremely realistic characters, each with their own flaws, hopes, dreams, and ideals. Guts eventually joins the Band of the Hawk, a legendary army of bandits and mercenaries that will attempt to reach for the heavens with Guts as their right hand. The series is the telling of their ascension towards the one goal that their leader Griffith has seen, to rule absolutely and attain his own kingdom. The band of the hawk also introduces us to Judeau, Pippin, Rickert, Corkus, and most importantly for Guts, Caska. The characters grow and strive for everything right in front of the viewer, and never have I been so entranced by a story. It's really that good, and unless you've seen it you won't know what I'm talking about!
Most of the series takes place in the Kingdom of Midland, which has been waring with a neighboring kingdom, Tuda, for hundreds of years. Using this as a way to attain greatness, Griffith and the Hawks side with Midland and join their forces as one of its strongest components. the battles are bloody and vicious, and the interaction of characters is really something to see.

Mahou Sensei Negima

Negi Springfield is a ten year old wizard (He starts out at 9 and is 10 years old as the story goes on) from Wales who dreams of becoming a Magister Magi (Approximate Latin translation: "Mage Master"), special wizards who use their powers to help normal people using covers such as working for NGOs.

Negi's reason for becoming a Magister Magi is to find his father, Nagi Springfield, the legendary mage also known as the "Thousand Master" who many believe to be dead (though the name Thousand Master was cast into doubt in book 3 (Anime Episode 9) when Evangeline flashes back and he states he only mastered a few spells). Later, it is exposed that while his power or ability seem to be among the greatest in the magical world, he regularly uses an 'anchoko', or crib sheet, since he apparently does not bother to memorize the spells themselves.

After graduating from the Merdiana Magic Academy in Wales, he is given a duty as a cover in the real world, and training, before he actually becomes a Magister Magi. That duty is to become an English teacher at Mahora Academy in Japan. The task will not be easy, however, as Negi will become a teacher to a Middle School class of 31 older girls, each very special in her own way. The series details his time and adventures in Japan as he gains acceptance and respect from his students, helps them in their problems, and faces magical threats from inside and outside Mahora Academy.

His main relationship is with Asuna Kagurazaka, his student and roommate, who dislikes him initially but later accepts him as a friend and becomes his partner, helping find clues about his father and his life.

The series, while initially appearing to be another bishōjo work like Love Hina, has progressed into a mix of bishōjo, shōnen action, fantasy, horror, romance and comedy. This coupled with the initial comments of Akamatsu that he specifically wanted to do something "different" than Love Hina has fueled fan speculation. Some feel the current turn in mood for the manga reflects Akamatsu's "real" vision of the series, and the initial setup was just a ruse to placate the publishers expecting a bishōjo series.

Similarly, Love Hina took a turn for the surreal during its later run. Others point to the set up of the series making the classic "shipping" tendencies within such manga moot. Negi himself is prepubescent, and many of his scenes with Asuna are specific subversions of the "awkward romantic scene" tendency of bishōjo manga, quickly diffused and only played for laughs. In addition, many of the girls are able to fawn over him in a childish sense without any romantic expectations from the reader.

In keeping with this style, Negi himself is seen as a contrast to Love Hina's Keitaro and other typical male leads of bishōjo manga. He is hardworking, capable, and treated kindly, but due to his appearance and age (well below most of his students), he feels completely non-threatening and finds it difficult to be taken seriously as a teacher; many of his students treat him as a cute little kid, if not a playmate.

The story begins when high school student Kazuki Muto (武藤カズキ, Mutō Kazuki?) is killed one night saving a mysterious girl from a monster, only to wake up and find it was only a dream. However, he soon finds out how real that dream was when a giant serpentine monster attacks him and his sister. Tokiko Tsumura (津村斗貴子, Tsumura Tokiko?), the girl from his dream, explains that the monster is a homunculus. Kazuki had been attacked and killed by it when rescuing Tokiko, however the girl revived him by placing a kakugane medal in his chest.
The "kakugane", Tokiko explains, is an alchemical device that when activated can give him the power to fight the homunculus monster. Using this, Kazuki creates his own buso renkin, an alchemical weapon in the form of a huge lance. Along with Tokiko and her own buso renkin, Kazuki joins the fight against the homunculus and their master.
In the world of Buso Renkin, there are two types of alchemy besides the historical one: buso renkin (weapon alchemy) and homunculus.
Buso renkin are weapons formed by the alchemically-created kakugane, based on the user's will to fight. The shape the buso renkin takes reflects the user's personality. Buso Renkin are the only weapons known to be able to kill a homunculus. Kakuganes are developed in the process of creating the Philosopher's stone, the ultimate goal of the Alchemy Warriors around the planet. Kakuganes will generate a weapon that reflects the user's battle style, a user will always have the same type of buso renkin regardless of the kakugane number.
Black Kakugane I-III are the first results of the Alchemy Warriors. However, they were unstable, upon insertion of kakugane I (1), Warrior Victor went berserk. While the same happened to Kazuki 100 years later when his kakugane III (disguised as LXX) awakens. Black kakuganes give its user a green hair and tanned skin, with the ability to use 'Energy Absorb'. which absorbs people's powers. Black kakugane users also has the ability to evolve. While in stage 1, an user can transform from normal human to his/her 'Victor' form, after 6 weeks, a user evolves into stage 2, when he/she is permanantly transforme d into a 'Victor' form, while in stage 3, the tanned skin turns into a dark red, and the power of energy abosrbing greatly increases.
A homunculus is created when an embryo-like creation is placed inside an animal, plant, or human. Animal-type homunculi possess strength relative to their animal base as well as retaining their sentience and the ability to assume their original human form. Human-type homunculi do not change form, but merely gain the strength and regenerative powers of a homunculus while retaining their human form and mind. Homunculi frequently eat humans. Human type homunculus also has the ability to use buso renkins, certain buso renkins, like Moon Face's Satellite 30, can only be used by Homunculus as it requires a large amount of energy.

Set in the Shinigami technical school for weapon technicians, the series revolves around 3 groups of each a weapon technician and a human weapon,Maka and Soul,Black Star and Tsubaki and finally Kid the Deathkid and his twin weapons Liz and Patty. They are trying to make a “Death Scythe” and thus fit for use by the Shinigami, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and 1 witch.
The School is called Shibusen and the head master is Shinigami , the God of Death himself , it’s basicly a training school for weapoins and theyr human users . Every meister can wield at least one of the weapons than have human form . The pourpose of the school is to keep and order and prevent the rebirth of kishin . Kishin are evil demon gods that can destroy absolutly everything.
The studends have the task to each capture and collect the souls of 99 evil humans and a witch to evolve theyr weapons adn become more powerfull and capable of being used by Shinigami-sama.
Being a school , the students have homeworks and lessons after training. Each meister must be able to tune at the same soul wavelenght with theyr weapon to perfon powerfull attacks and bring out the full power of the weapon.

One Spring, the Shirogane High school appoints a new teacher, Yamaguchi Kumiko.

With her lame clothing and her glasses, she seems to be not the cleverest teacher
there is, and of all classes, she has to be assigned to the students of class 2-4,
famous for their rampancy and always causing nothing than trouble. She however is
discountenanced by nothing that happens - because she derivates from the head of a
Yakuza family, the Ã”edos, where even a crying child keeps silent!
She hides her heritage and her father's profession in order to get her long aspired
job as a teacher, but since she was a little child she soaked in the sprit of
dignity, always keeping silent.

With her sense for justice and extraordinary strength, she solves every problem in
school with muscle power!
Yamaguchi Kumiko's nickname becomes Yankumi. From now on, she saves the weak and
breaks the strong and starts to forget her mildness while teaching!

The plot involves Kumiko Yamaguchi, the granddaughter of a Yakuza boss. Her parents died when she was younger, and her grandfather has no other descendants, so Kumiko is next in line to head the family business. However, her lifelong dream has been to become a teacher. While her grandfather approves of her choice, others in the family want her to become the next boss, especially Tetsu, who is secretly in love with her.
Kumiko (known by her students as "Yankumi") becomes a teacher at an all-boys private high school.

Her class is full of delinquents, but she tries her hardest to teach them not just about academics, but about lessons of life, much like any "dedicated teacher" story. Though she's forced to keep her family a secret from the public, her Yakuza upbringing gives her the strength and the experience to reach out to her students, while also providing comedic relief.

Celes Victoria

I suppose she's the heroine of the story but she's the one drag on the line of badasses. I mean don't get me wrong... she kills with a fucking bazooka and randomly goes postal and rips ghouls apart, but she's no Integral. Sometimes her lack of seriousness and comical faces irritate me but none the less add to the awesomeness of Hellsing. She can look alarming cool though like in the opening when she's about to lick that knife. That's fucking genious. Anyway, she's this half-vampire chick that basically serves Alucard for the entire series. She could kick Eve's ass and is a ton more subservient. I mean for godsake Eve basically fucked up the entire human race just to eat some god forsaken apple. You better fucking bet Celes would shoot the shit out of that cunt rag.

Integral Wingates Hellsing
At first I thought she was a guy, only because I'm used to seeing these feminine looking male characters in anime. Ok so maybe she's a bit manly looking but she's fucking awesome. On the outside, you see this cold calculating leader of an organization that kills undead things, but when she starts shooting crosses into the heads of her enemies, you know shes a tough bitch. She took over the Hellsing organization when her bastard uncle decided to backstab her and try to kill her, but uh, being the master of Alucard she got the guy fucking killed. She starts looking a little hotter towards the end but remains a virgin. But don't mistake her for that Virgin Mary whore... I mean she can shoot people and look cool. Virgin Mary just bleeds in stupid paintings.

-Episode 1-

Ok, so the first thing you see is the opening. Like all these zombies are there and this crazy looking dog shows up. You're just like "WHAT THE FUCK THIS ANIME RULES." Ok right so you see Integral and Anderson and at that point you've got your hand out of your pants and you're actually watching. Now this is the single best opening I've ever seen. Not only does it hook you but the music is all jazzy and awesome.

After the opening you see Alucard locking and loading his gun, the one made out of a silver cross. Now this is a horrendously badass gun and he kills this fucking hot ass vampire chick that wears tight leather clothing. It's so fuckin wrong... death and hot chicks RIGHT AWAY. DEAR FUCKING GOD. Basically the rest of the episode is about how they have to kill this minister vampire and they send Alucard, this strong ass mother fucking super vampire to do it. He's like stronger than entire armies and shit. Wrong wrong stuff... so anyway you see this stupid weiner girl Celes Victoria and she's like a medic or something but she fails horribly and ends up running away into the vampire minister. I just wanna say first that the music so fucking awesome... it's all jazzy and shit especially when he says "On this night I crave for blood" as he walks into the town. Ok right back to the minister, so like she gets held hostage right and the minister orders all his ghouls to kill Alucard, BUT HE JUST STANDS THERE AS BULLETS SHRED HIM... ITS THE WRONGEST SCENE I HAVE EVER SEEN. (NOTE: I'll be saying that a lot so don't take it literally.) So like he's this pile of goopy blood and he comes back and like he can't hit the guy so he asks Celes if he can shoot her through the lungs to kill the guy with his badass gun with the silver gun. So anyway, she wants to become a vampire so she says yes and he actually shoots her and kills the guy. So basically the end is like he turns her into a vampire and asks Integral, his master, if she can join Hellsing.

What You Need To Know: Basically, Celes is a half-vampire now and we've established that Alucard can rape Jesus.

Ghost in the Shell

They moved from Machida (a city located in the western part of Tokyo’s greater metropolis) 5 years earlier, after the massacre of their parents in their apartment complex, which was attacked and overrun by unknown assailants who ruthlessly and brutally killed almost everyone in several buildings in the complex.

He has also been having recurring dreams of a girl for some time, but they are growing more frequent. She seems to be covered in blood holding a giant sword.

During the Middle Ages, a wealthy family had a device created in order to gain immortality, not knowing that it would in fact open a portal to the demon world.

108 demons were unleashed, shattering the device into 108 fragments which they then absorbed. This portal created a crater near the Machida apartment complex, whence came the demons who killed most of the residents.

The demons must be dismembered since each carries within one of the 108 fragments. Once extracted from demons and reassembled, the 108 fragments can be used to close the demon's portal, which if allowed to grow will result in the destruction of all humans on Earth.

At the beginning of the tale, Ranmaru graduates from his cadet class to become a new investigator for The Special Mobile Investigation Troops First Division or TOKKI to avenge his parent's death. Later on the day of his graduation, he sees the girl from his dream wearing a police uniform.

She is a member of Section 2, known officially as Special Public Safety Task Force, or Tokko for short, being under the eye of the Public Security Investigation Agency. Throughout the story, it is explained that there are many rumors about Tokko, one of which is that they use swords to execute criminals and that body parts are often found at the crime scenes Tokko investigates. There are also rumors that they aren't even human.

All members of Section 2 bear a tattoo. This is their "symbiont tattoo", which marks them as carriers of a "phantom", one of the 108 demons. Not all of the symbionts are with Section 2. A symbiont may be good or evil, but the spirit's alignment is unknown until it is awakened within the host. The tattoo also imparts a type of protection from other phantoms and expands after the phantom’s awakening. Only symbionts have the strength, speed and endurance to kill the demons with bladed weapons.
